Frequently Asked Questions
When is the appropriate time to start planning for college?
The sooner the better. Believe it or not, there is college planning curriculum designed for middle schoolers. I believe that initial planning should take place prior to freshman year of high school. A strategy that includes the right classes, grades, and other variables could affect college admission and scholarship opportunities.
How many times I can take SAT or ACT?
A student can take it as many times as they want. We encourage our students to take either of them 2-3 times. A lot of variables can come into play when deciding to retest.
Do most students take more than 4 years to graduate from college?
Yes, that is why research is needed to ensure that those type of variables are factored in when selecting a college or university.
What does "best fit" college mean?
A college or university environment that factors many of the student's best interest (educational, social, professional, and personal). The research and time invested in the process can net a college setting that the student can thrive in and save money, stress, and time in the long run.
